Yamada Naoko is a magician who knows all the tricks of the trade, but is unfortunately very boring. After losing yet another job, she reads an article placed in the paper by Ueda Jirou and is lured in by the promise of money. She ends up being convinced to assist him to debunk fraudulent spiritualists - over and over again.
